Living Shorelines Workshop (May 2013)
New York Sea Grant's mid-May "Living Shorelines" workshop (held on May 15, 2013 in Hauppauge, NY) was designed for government officials, coastal mangers/planners, shoreline property owners, marine contractors and consultants, NGOs and others interested in coastal erosion management. At the event, attendees were provided with practical information on the use of living shorelines as an erosion control alternative. The focus will be on smaller scale projects that have erosion protection as the primary objective.
